Tuross Head Alcohol Free Zones

Tuross has three zones identified under two seperate
Council policies

What is the differtence between a Zone and a reserve?

An Alcohol Free Reserve allows a police officer the right, under the Local Government Act, to issue an on-the-spot-fine
of approx $120 for anyone found wth alcohol. A police officer can confiscate alcohol immediately and issue a fine.

An Alcohol Free Zone allows a police officer the right to confiscate alcohol and the possibility of issuing a $20 fine.

 


Eurobodalla Shire Alcohol Free Zone Policy

In accord with Ministerial Guidelines, Department of Local Government and under Section 644 of the Local
Government Act, the following Alcohol Free Zones be established for a period of three years ending on 23 June 2011

Areas identified by Council's Alcohol Free Zone Policy

# Tuross The area of Evans Road fronting the Tuross Shops to the west
# The area of Tuross Boulevarde backing onto the Tuross shops to the east.

 

 

ALCOHOL FREE/RESTRICTED RESERVES IN THE SHIRE Policy

Under Section 632 of the Local Government Act, Council prohibits the consumption of alcohol between the hours of
8pm until 8am seven days a week on

MINUTE 09/180 G 09/59 ALCOHOL RESTRICTED RESERVE - TUROSS HEAD E95.8171 09/180 MOTION Councillor Keith Dance/Councillor Alan Morton THAT under Section 632 of the Local Government Act, Council deem the establishment of alcohol restrictions from 8pm until 8am seven days a week on One Tree Point, Tuross Head, incorporating both McWilliam Reserve and the carpark area. (The Motion on being put was declared CARRIED).
