Welcome to the
Official Tourism site for Tuross Head
George Bass explored
the Tuross Head area in 1797 – he was the first of many visitors to
fall in love
with the beauty of its waterways, and surrounding forests.
Tuross Lake oysters are world renowned for
their quality. The large number of middens
on the Tuross peninsular proves the original Aboriginal settlers were just
as passionate about them as we are!
Experience Tuross Head by air on a scenic
joy flight or enjoy the delights of whale watching from September –
November.
Tuross Head has cycling, kayaking, surfing, sailing, swimming, fishing, golf,
bowls and so much more.
